Prof Peter Currie, Director of the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) of Monash University visited the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our representatives shared their research work on stem cell and regenerative medicine and organized a guided tour of the School’s Core Laboratories and the Animal Holding Core.

A delegation composed of Prof Christina Mitchell, Academic Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Science; Prof Ross Coppell, Senior Deputy Dean/Deputy Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Science; Dr Svetozar Kovacevic, Director of Research of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences; Prof Andrew Stewart Coats, Academic Vice-President of Monash and Warwick Universities and Director of the Monash Warwick Alliance, visited CUHK and were received by Prof Benjamin Wah, Provost; Prof T F Fok, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof Francis Chan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Ms Margaret Cheung, Faculty Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the possibility of joint postgraduate programs and explore areas of collaboration in research, staff and student exchanges.

Prof Sarah Newton, Deputy Dean in External Relations of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences of Monash visited the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS). She was welcomed by Prof Wai-yee Chan, Director, and met with members of the Stem Cell and Regeneration Thematic Research Programme. A visit to our Core Laboratory facilities in the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building ensued.
